1000 Series

The 1000 Series buses were built by New Flyer in 1991–1995 and were CTA’s first low-floor buses. They had diesel engines and a boxy, classic look. These buses were fully retired by the early 2010s and helped CTA move toward a more accessible, low-floor fleet.
